Delivering hybrid operating and capital solutions, Threadneedle was founded by 15-year veteran private equity dealmaker and seasoned operator Ann Berry. Threadneedle draws on her global, multi-industry network to provide investment platforms, public companies and private enterprises with unique, pragmatic growth solutions that span strategy design to fundraising execution, talent sourcing to business development. Beyond advising with integrity, Threadneedle invests capital in and alongside its clients.

Prior to focusing on Threadneedle, Ann was Chief Investment Officer of Jimmy Kimmel’s media platform Wheelhouse where she provided dozens of technology & consumer companies with a combination of content-driven marketing solutions and growth equity.  Her team partnered with portfolio companies to design bespoke branding campaigns executed on by Wheelhouse’s TV production, digital content and entertainment marketing divisions.

From 2017 to 2021 Ann was a Partner & Investment Committee member at Cornell Capital, the global private equity firm in New York and Hong Kong where she acquired companies in the consumer, insurance and business services sectors.   In 2019 through 2020, Ann simultaneously served as interim CEO of PureStar, moving to Las Vegas to lead the national hospitality services company through the COVID-19 crisis. During her CEO tenure, she executed on a significant operational revamping of the company, repositioning it for both revenue recovery and margin growth. Under Ann’s leadership, PureStar was recognized for its groundbreaking diversity throughout the company’s 30 North American industrial locations and 5,000-strong employee base.

Ann began her career as an M&A banker at Goldman Sachs in London in 2003 before investing for the firm in global LBOs as a principal through 2016. While in Europe, Ann’s transactions spanned the UK, Chile, Germany and Sweden. She joined Goldman Sachs’ merchant banking division in New York in 2008, providing its private equity portfolio companies with in-the-trenches operating and restructuring support through the Great Financial Crisis. Ann has deployed billions of dollars in the industrials, natural resources and consumer sectors through take-privates, LBOs and structured capital solutions.

Ann serves on the board of World Series champion Alex Rodriguez’s public company SLAM Corporation and on the board of Allure Labs. She is an advisor to Cornell Capital and Anchor Capital. Ann previously served on the boards of Interline Brands (sold to Home Depot), GCA Services (sold to ABM), PureStar and Fekkai Brands, among others. She is an advisor to non-profit We Are Moving The Needle, founded by GRAMMY winner Emily Lazar to advance women in the music industry.

A sought-after speaker and active public equities investor, Ann is a regular markets commentator on Bloomberg, CBS, CNBC, Fox Business and YahooFinance.  She has appeared on numerous podcasts to discuss her experiences as a business leader and CEO.

Born & raised in London, Ann graduated from Cambridge University with a Double First Class Honors BA in economics and as a Trinity College scholar. Ann moved to the US as a Kennedy Scholar to attend Harvard Business School, graduating as a Baker Scholar with an MBA with High Distinction.

An avid adventure traveler / failed travel writer, Ann is a keen tennis player, novice art collector and fan of British comedy.
